It is not all about food and shopping on the Aert van der Goesstraat. You can do ultra-modern sports in a branch of Bodytec Lounge. In 2014 the first two branches opened in Amsterdam. The Hague has been added to it now, between the shops and the catering facilities. But what is a Bodytec Lounge or a BTL?
Bodytec is an innovative training concept, where the training can be fitted in between the customer’s other activities. This is called a to go-concept. That is why BTL is situated in a shopping street. First you do your shopping at the baker’s and the poultry shop, you go the hair dresser, have a cup of coffee and then you go to the BTL – or in a different order of events.
In the lounge you do a powerful ‘full body work-out’ in twenty minutes by means of Electro Muscle Stimulation, in short EMS. Eight muscle groups are being trained at the same time. At a conventional sports school you would train two muscle groups, at the same time. So a fast and effective training. This training is with the guidance of fully qualified trainers, who give you their personal attention. But this EMS technique is not new; for more than 30 years it has been applied in physiotherapy to treat muscle injuries. The use to do sport in this way is new. You can book a free trial lesson.
The Bodytec Lounge wants to develop into the direction of a modern gym, with Bodytec-training next to life-style coaching and dietary advice, among other subjects.
